Cantilever Dental Bridges
Areas of your mouth under less stress (i.e., the front teeth) require less support and can be anchored on one side. We’ll use what’s known as a cantilever dental bridge in these cases. The result is still as strong and aesthetically pleasing, but far less treatment will be required, making the process quicker and simpler.
Maryland / Resin Bonded Dental Bridges
This type of dental bridge is almost always used for treating the front teeth. The pontic is fused to metal or ceramic wing-like structures bonded to the abutments with an ultra-strong resin. The abutment teeth require no preparation, and the wings are hidden from view, giving you a completely natural-looking smile.
Implant-Supported Dental Bridges
The most recent innovation in dental bridges is the development of the implant-supported variety. We’ll insert an implant into the bone where the original root was, where it will immediately begin to fuse to the bone. Once this happens, individual crowns or an implant-supported bridge can be put into place. These are anchored to the jawbone and are a good solution for gaps with little support on either side.
